The Ancient Mystery Schools for Enlightenment

In ancient Egypt all members of society were considered students of life and were required to attend temple or school for their education. They were enrolled in an enlightenment school system that provided the foundation for a stable and conscious way of life. There were four grades or levels and each lasted seven years. Only the first level was mandatory and continuation of the higher levels was by choice. Those that graduated from this temple schooling were considered adepts or enlightened ones. Jesus is said to have trained and graduated in these Egyptian Mystery School Teachings.

The ancient Egyptians knew that all of life’s events and happenings could be viewed from four very different angles or viewpoints. These four perspectives are the basis of the Mystery School Teachings and the four levels of temple life . Bringing the power of this wisdom into your own life and learning to live a more sacred and meaningful life is what these Mystery School Teachings offer. A rudimentary look at the four levels and the essence of their teachings is offered here as a tool for your own spiritual journey and enlightenment.

The Journey To Knowing Yourself

This first level of the ancient mystery school teachings is called the Literal Perspective and can be thought of the journey to knowing yourself. To this day the inscription over the temple doorway can still be read and it says "Know Yourself". It was here in this grade that all society members learned the same fundamental knowledge about the world we live in. That is to say, that everyone understood the basic principles that govern the earth plane and how to apply these principles in everyday life.

In this first grade you would learn about the dynamics of the human energy field and that all of life on the planet is sacred and to be honoured. This included understanding of animals and their medicines / teachings, plants and herbology, rocks / gems and their gifts of vibrational medicine and so on with all the attributes that each element brings to humankind. In grade one you learned that all of life is interconnected and that we all stem from one source.

It was here that you also learned about the nature of the human being and how emotions and thoughts contributed, not only to your own health and well-being, but to everyone else’s and the planets as a whole. Imagine a world where everyone learned these basic truths in kindergarten!
In the second grade or level the essence of the teachings were to Know Your Symbols. Today this whole level of the Ancient Mystery School Teachings if finally beginning to be brought to life as we remember that all of life and its events have a symbolic and deeper meaning. Most people accept that we dream in symbols, but few have learned that Creator speaks in symbolic communication all through the day in a never ending language of mirroring and representation.

The seven years of study in the Symbolic Perspective had you learn, not only your personal symbolism, but universal symbolism as well. That is the understandings of the archetypal language that is shared all over the planet. Knowing Your Symbols takes you to greater depths of Who You Are and brings you one step closer to Your God. This eases the journey considerably when you are able to interpret the Divines constant symbolic communication (day or night).
The next level or grade was called the Irrational Perspective and it was here that you learned Who You Are Not. This level is challenging for many North Americans because it is the level that does not follow reason and it is irrational and illogical to the intellectual mind.

Here you learned about the Divine Dichotomy that exists here on the earth plane. It is about the world of opposites and how two opposing energies can exist in the same place. It is here that you can perceive what you think to be right about you and what you perceive to be wrong about you in the same space.
It is in this grade that you confront the very belief systems that compose each of us as individuals, and on a larger scale as a part of the human race and as spiritual beings. This level teaches you that, beyond the mirroring presented in the symbolic level (where everyone mirrors some aspect of yourself), that others begin to mirror Who You Are Not. An invaluable tool on your road to enlightenment.

The fourth level was called the Creators Perspective and it was here that you learned to Know Your Creator. Here you learned how to detach from the human aspect of self and view all of life from the sacred witness or observer that lives within. Here you learned about the importance of love without attachment to outcome and how to have trust in all of life’s happenings.

This grade also encompassed all the spiritual laws and principles that govern the earth plane and how to use them to your advantage as you co-create your daily reality. Learning to take your dreams and passions and figuring out how to manifest them in your everyday life is the challenge of every awakened human being. Manoeuvring through this life as a spiritual being is considerably easier than walking as a good human being, and here in the forth grade you learn to accept the human being aspect of self without judgment and with true understanding and compassion for self.

Learning to use the material presented within the four levels of the Mystery School Teachings is guaranteed to change your life and your way of being in the world. It teaches you to view all of life through the eyes of the four perspectives and broadens your capacity to live a smoother more conscious creative life. It is your road map to enlightenment.
